Project Based Video Editor

Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled video editor with a strong eye for storytelling and the ability to handle various types of social media content, including talking head reels, lifestyle montages, and product videos. Each project is unique, requiring flexibility and adaptability, while maintaining consistency and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Effective Video Editing and Delivery:

    Edit and deliver assigned video projects promptly and with attention to quality. You’ll work on a variety of content types, adapting each project to meet the specific goals and aesthetic standards outlined in project instructions.

  • Quality Control and Client Satisfaction

    Consistently review and refine edits to ensure they meet client expectations and project standards. Maintain high-quality visuals, sound, and pacing for each deliverable.

  • Collaboration and Communication

    Communicate effectively with the production team to understand project objectives, get feedback, and make adjustments as needed. Your role will be crucial in delivering high-quality content for both external clients and internal projects.

  • Adaptability and Innovation

    Stay updated with trends and new editing techniques, particularly for social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok. Bring fresh, innovative ideas to each project to enhance the visual appeal and relevance for our audience.

Essential Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Editing Software: Expert in Adobe Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve. After Effects and Photoshop are a plus.

  • Video Production Knowledge: Skilled in color correction, grading, sound design, and export settings for various platforms.

  • Storytelling & Visual Flow: Ability to create cohesive, engaging stories in short-form content.

  • Attention to Detail: Consistently delivers polished, high-quality work.

  • Adaptability & Problem-Solving: Flexible editing styles, creative solutions with available footage.

  • Time Management: Manages multiple projects, meets deadlines, maintains quality.

  • Social Media Trends: Familiar with Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube content styles and best practices.

  • Communication: Interprets briefs, collaborates well, and responds to feedback.

  • Tech Requirements: Has a computer that can handle 10-bit 4:2:2 4K footage smoothly or understand proxy workflow

Compensation Structure

Our rates are project-based, tailored to the unique requirements and scope of each assignment.

We prioritize high-performing editors for ongoing and more frequent projects, offering opportunities for those who demonstrate consistency, creativity, and fast turnarounds.

Rates and timelines will be discussed for each project, with all terms agreed upon before starting.
